RadioShake is made by Hiten Patel, an individual trading as Noctal Labs, the developer name shown on Google Play and the App Store. In these terms "we" and "us" means Hiten Patel trading as Noctal Labs.
These terms apply to the RadioShake apps for Android, Wear OS and iPhone, the web player at app.radioshake.media and this website. When you download the app or buy something in it, the terms of the store you use also apply (the Google Play Terms of Service or Apple's Media Services Terms and Conditions). How we handle data is covered by the Privacy Policy.
RadioShake is free to download and use. It has no ads and needs no account. Every station and every feature stays free. The optional Supporter purchase below only adds cosmetic extras.
Radio stations and podcasts in RadioShake are provided by their own broadcasters and publishers. We list them from public directories such as radio-browser.info and the Podcast Index, and your device connects to their streams directly. We do not control what they broadcast, and a station can change, go offline or be unavailable in your country at any time. Song identification is best effort and can be wrong or unavailable. Broadcasters and rights holders can ask us to remove or correct a station on the Stations and rights holders page.
Supporter is an optional, one-off purchase that helps fund RadioShake's development.
Supporter is digital content that is unlocked straight away. At checkout you agree to that immediate supply, and once the extras are unlocked the 14-day right to cancel that normally applies to online purchases in the UK and EU no longer applies.
Refunds are handled by the store you bought from, under its own policy:
If a purchase is refunded, the Supporter extras switch off on that account.
If the extras do not work or are not as described here, email [email protected] and we will help put it right. Nothing in these terms affects your legal rights as a consumer, including your rights under the UK Consumer Rights Act 2015 or the consumer law of the country you live in.
Please use RadioShake lawfully and for your own personal listening. Do not try to unlock Supporter extras without paying for them, interfere with the app or its services, or use RadioShake to infringe anyone else's rights.
We work to keep RadioShake reliable, but because stations and podcasts come from third parties we cannot promise that any particular stream will be available or uninterrupted. If we break these terms, we are responsible for loss or damage you suffer that is a foreseeable result of that. We are not responsible for loss that was not foreseeable, or for losses caused by third-party streams or services we do not control. Nothing in these terms limits our liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, for fraud, or for anything else that cannot be limited by law.
If we update these terms, the new version will be posted on this page with an updated effective date. Changes do not take away Supporter extras you have already bought, except as described under "Changes to the extras" above.
These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales. If you live elsewhere in the UK or in the European Union, you keep the protection of the mandatory consumer laws of where you live, and you can bring a claim in your local courts.
