Search and trending
Podcast listings come from Podcast Index. Search starts once you have typed three characters; until then the screen shows trending podcasts. Trending ranks shows from your own country ahead of the global chart, so a UK device is not buried under the US chart.
Subscribe and pick up where you left off
Subscribe to a show from its page. Opening a show during playback marks the episode that is playing, with the time left shown against each episode, and a Continue listening row brings back episodes you have started.
Playback speed
The podcast Now Playing screen has a speed chip from 0.75× to 2×. It only appears for episodes, never for stations, and the speed you choose is remembered between sessions.
Offline downloads
Download episodes to listen without a connection. Downloads are Wi-Fi only by default and can be switched to mobile data in Settings; an optional setting deletes an episode once you finish it, and a storage limit caps the space downloads use. A Downloads screen lists every download with retry, delete and tap-to-play.
In the car and on the watch
On Android Auto, podcasts and completed downloads appear in the browse tree — see RadioShake on Android Auto. The standalone Wear OS app is focused on live radio; offline podcast downloads are part of the phone app.
Limits
Podcasts need the Google Play version of RadioShake; without it the app shows “Podcasts require the Play Store version of RadioShake.” Streaming an episode needs a connection unless you have downloaded it. For what the app collects, read the no ads, no account page and the privacy policy.
